Diseases transmitted from people

Many serious diseases that you can be exposed to while travelling are transmitted directly from other people. Common ways that you can catch these diseases include aerosol transmission (from infected people sneezing), by touch, or by transmission of blood, saliva, or sexual activity.

Here are some of those kind of diseases that you may catch while travelling that we can diagnose and treat for you:

  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C
  • HIV
  • Leprosy
  • SARS
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (other than HIV) such as syphilis or gonorrhea
